does that mean i get to give you nicknames? :: penny

"So you're all packed up?" Han asks, causing both of us to laugh, knowing there really isn't anything to pack up.

"C'mon, Hannie Boy, are Luke and Leia riding with us?"

Han shakes his head. "Leia's riding with some pilot friend of hers..." He sounds almost...jealous? No, that can't be it. "Maybe Luke though, you'll have to ask him yourself. If he comes though, you're gonna have to keep your paws off of him...you're helping me fly the Falcon, and I don't want you getting distracted," he smirks.

"Oh shut up," I say, punching his arm.

"For real though, Penn," he chuckles, "the Falcon's got some thin walls, I don't wanna hear you two in your quarters while I'm in the cockpit, got it?"

Without really thinking about it, I open Luke's door without knocking.

Inside, he's changing and when he hears me come in he shuffles to cover himself.

"Would it kill you to knock?" He asks, obviously embarrassed.

"Luke..." I begin, shutting the door, "I've literally seen you naked before."

He chuckles, and lowers the shirt he had covering him, and finishes changing while I sit down on his bed.

"So," I say, "are you riding in the Falcon with us? Or are you flying your X-Wing?"

He shrugs. "Leia said she found someone to fly my X-Wing for me, which I'm not exactly happy about, but Leia swore to me it would be safe...so I guess that means I'm riding in the Falcon," he smiles.

"Well, either way, I was gonna make you wear the orange jumpsuit," I smirk.

"What is it with you and that jumpsuit?" He asks, taking my hand and pulling up off the bed and into his arms.

I shrug, draping my arms over his shoulders. "I dunno, there's something about it...just like the Storm-"

"I'm not wearing the Stormtrooper outfit again."

 "Why not?" I pout.

"Penny..."

"Luke..."

He plants a soft kiss on my lips, and it catches me off guard. "C'mon, Penny, I'll wear anything but the Stormtrooper outfit. Besides, I don't even know where it is."

I narrow my eyes at him. "I think you're lying to me, Farmer Boy."

"Oh, so you get to give me nicknames, but the second I called you 'Penn' on the Falcon, you blew up in my face."

I smile as he kisses me softly again. "C'mon, I'd just met you. I thought you were some lame Moisture Farmer kid from Tatooine, and I was right."

"What does that have to do with nicknames?"

"What? Oh yeah, nicknames. I thought you were just some lame kid we were giving a ride to. You can't blame me for freaking out a bit, I thought I was only gonna have to deal with you for a minute and a half, not this long."

"So does that mean I get to give you a nickname?"

I shrug. "If you want to."

He thinks about it for a small while as we stand in the middle of his room, just holding each other before a knock interrupts his thoughts. "See," he whispers, "They knocked...Who is it?"

"It's C3PO," Han's voice says sarcastically from behind the door, "I've come to tell you to hurry your romantic asses up, we're leaving soon."

"Coming!" Luke turns back to me as we hear Han stomp off. "So I'm 'Farmer Boy'?" He asks, turning back to me.

I nod. "So who am I?"

He shrugs and kisses my forehead, pushing away and beginning to check the room to make sure he's not leaving anything small behind, even though we both know there's nothing for him to leave behind. "I haven't decided yet."

"Luke! Penn!" Han greets the two of us when we step up to the Falcon. "You finally decided to show up!"

"Can it, Hannie Boy," I scoff.

"Ohh, twice in one day. Your best friend does it with a kid from Tatooine once, and suddenly she's all confident."

"Keep talking, and I'll make it three times."

He chuckles and turns to Luke as the boarding ramp closes. "Luke! I see you're finally out of that orange jumpsuit! Maybe keep it off this whole trip, the Falcon's got thin walls, and I'd like to make it through this trip without hearing...something..."

"You're on thin ice, Hannie Boy."

I sit down next to Luke at the table in the main hold and set my head on his shoulder.

 "Where's R2 and 3PO?" I ask.

"Well, Leia stuck 3PO on one of the bigger ships so that if he started talking, he wouldn't be talking just one person's ear off."

 "Smart."

He kisses the top of my head and continues, "And R2's with my ship. God, I hope they're both okay."

"Leia swore it would all be fine, you should trust her." There's a small pause, and then I push myself up and say, "Do you wanna make out to piss off Han."

He sighs, his cheeks growing pink. "You know any other time I would say yes, but you said yourself Han sees me as one of his best friends, and I don't know if I want to lose that title."

"Please..."

He shakes his head. "One kiss."

 "I hate you, Farmer Boy."

"Oh! Speaking of Farmer Boy, I still need to think of your nickname." He gives me a crooked grin that somehow convinces me to be satisfied with just kissing him on the cheek and ruffling up his hair.

"Nicknames shouldn't be this difficult, you know. We really need to work on your nicknaming skills."

"Well, I want this one to be special."

 "You're an idiot, Luke Skywalker."

He smiles and I kiss him quickly before Han comes into the room and starts freaking out. "Woah, woah, woah, what did I say? I don't wanna see all this! Save it for the base, okay?"

"Han," I begin, "I have a blaster, you know."

 "Congratulations, me too."

I raise my eyebrows and he rolls his eyes, heading back to the cockpit.

"I thought of a nickname," Luke smiles.

 "Oh yeah?"

 "Yeah, what about 'Guy Stuff'?"

"What?" I laugh.

"You remember that one time you came into the cockpit and asked Han and me what we were talking about? Han said 'guy stuff' and you said, 'oh, so that's code you're talking about me' or something like that. And, I have a bit of a confession to make..."

 "You do?"

"Yeah...we were actually talking about you."

I chuckle softly. "Yeah, I kinda figured that out based on your reaction."

 "So that's your new nickname."

"That's a dumb nickname," I smile, causing him to laugh. "I'm serious, we need to work on your nicknaming skills for real."

"Well, I don't care if you hate it, it's your new name."

I plant a soft kiss on his lips. "Just call me Penn."

He kisses me too. "That's what I was hoping you were gonna say."

"So you're not gonna call me 'Guy Stuff'?"

"Of course not, that's a stupid nickname."

"Okay, good. Was that your plan this whole time? To get me to let you call me Penn?"

He kisses me again and then smirks. "Do you wanna go make out to piss of Han?"

"Even though you're avoiding the question...I thought you'd never ask."
